Exporting & importing

Importing into Xero

Import Xero CSV or OFX files into a Xero bank account.

  1. Export Xero CSV (or OFX).
  2. In Xero: Accounting › Bank accounts › select the account › Manage Account › Import a Statement.
  3. Upload the file. For CSV, confirm the column mapping (Date, Amount, Payee, Description, Reference).
  4. Reconcile.

If Xero shows no transactions, the date format probably doesn't match your organisation's region — re-export with the other date format.
