Quick answer
Convert the PDF, download Xero CSV or OFX, then in Xero open the bank account and choose Manage Account › Import a Statement. Xero CSV columns are already named the way Xero expects.
Step by step
- Convert the statement and export Xero CSV (or OFX).
- In Xero go to Accounting › Bank accounts.
- Open the account and choose Manage Account › Import a Statement.
- Upload the file and confirm the column mapping.
- Reconcile the imported lines as usual.
Regional dates
Xero reads CSV dates using your organisation's regional settings. Export day-first dates for UK, AU and NZ organisations and US dates for US organisations.
