Editorial policy
What you can expect from every article, guide and comparison we publish.

Who writes our content
Content is written by the people who build StatementPilot's extraction, reconciliation and export features. Author pages list each writer's role and areas of expertise. See the editorial team.
How we research
- We check instructions against the current version of the software described (QuickBooks, Xero, Quicken, Excel and others) and against the official file-format specifications.
- Bank pages are based on sample statements and the bank's own public documentation. We never publish account data.
- Statistics and legal or tax statements cite their source or are phrased as general guidance.
Comparisons
Comparison pages describe competitors using their public information at the time of writing, state where the competitor is the better choice and show the date of the last review. Vendors can request corrections through our contact page.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools for drafting and editing. Every page is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a person before publishing, and we don't publish pages to target keywords without adding original value.
Updates and corrections
Each page shows when it was last updated. When we find an error we correct it promptly and change the update date. Report errors to support [at] docuclipper [dot] net.
Not professional advice
Our articles are general information, not accounting, tax or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional for your situation.
