Quick answer
Upload a credit card statement PDF and get every purchase, payment, refund, fee and interest charge as structured rows. We detect that it's a card account, check previous balance + charges − payments = new balance, and export with the right signs for QuickBooks, Xero or Excel.
How to do it
- 1
Upload the card statement PDF.
- 2
We detect the card format and reconcile previous vs new balance.
- 3
Review — cardholder sections are merged into one list.
- 4
Export to Excel, CSV, QBO or OFX.
Credit cards are different
- Balances run the other way: purchases increase what you owe, payments decrease it. Our reconciliation uses the liability convention automatically.
- Statements often split activity by cardholder or by section (payments, purchases, fees, interest). We merge them into one chronological list.
- Foreign transactions may show the original currency and the converted amount; we keep the amount actually billed.
- QBO and OFX exports use the credit card message set so accounting software books them to a credit card account.

Frequently asked questions
Do purchases come out as negative numbers?
Yes — from your point of view money out is negative and payments/refunds are positive. Accounting imports then increase the card liability for purchases.
Are interest and fees included?
Yes. Interest charged, annual fees and late fees are extracted as separate transactions so you can categorise them.
