Quick answer

Download your BMCI bank statement as a PDF from BMCI Net under Relevés, upload it to StatementPilot, and export Excel, CSV, QBO, OFX or QIF. We check that the "Ancien solde" plus every transaction equals the "Nouveau solde" so you know nothing was missed.

What a BMCI bank statement looks like

BMCI relevés follow the BNP Paribas group layout with Date, Nature des opérations, Valeur, Débit and Crédit.

Moroccan 'relevé de compte' PDFs list Date opération, Date valeur, Libellé, Débit, Crédit, and show 'Solde initial' / 'Solde final' or 'Ancien solde' / 'Nouveau solde'.

How to convert a BMCI statement

  • Sign in to BMCI Net under Relevés and download the statement for the period you need as a PDF (not a screenshot).
  • If the PDF is password-protected, open it and save an unprotected copy first.
  • Upload one or several months to StatementPilot. Scanned or photographed statements are read with OCR.
  • Check the reconciliation panel: the "Ancien solde" plus deposits minus withdrawals should equal the "Nouveau solde".
  • Export to Excel or CSV for analysis, or QBO/OFX/QIF to import into Sage, Excel and Odoo.

Dates, amounts and account numbers in Morocco

French-language statements use spaces or periods for thousands and a comma for decimals (1 234,56). Columns are usually labelled Débit and Crédit. We read the date order from the statement itself and default to DD/MM/YYYY for Morocco, so 03/04 is never silently swapped.

Accounts are identified by a 24-digit RIB (relevé d'identité bancaire). Only the masked or last digits are carried into QBO/OFX files, as those importers expect.

Importing BMCI transactions into your accounting software

Accountants in Morocco most often import into Sage, Excel, Odoo and QuickBooks Online. Choose QBO for QuickBooks, the Xero CSV for Xero, OFX for most other packages, or Excel/CSV for anything else.

When your bank feed only goes back a few months, converted BMCI statements fill the gap for older periods without manual typing.

Why statements are still needed

Statements are needed for visa files, loan applications and bookkeeping under the Moroccan general accounting standard (CGNC).

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert a BMCI bank statement to Excel?

Yes. Upload the PDF and download an .xlsx file with date, description, amount and balance columns plus a summary sheet showing the ancien solde, nouveau solde and reconciliation result.

How do I get my BMCI statement as a PDF?

Statements are available in BMCI Net under Relevés. Choose the statement period and download or save it as a PDF; a printed copy can also be scanned or photographed and uploaded.

Can I import BMCI transactions into Sage?

Yes. Export the converted statement in the format Sage accepts (QBO, OFX or a formatted CSV) and import it as a bank statement file. Dates are written in the format your software expects.

Do I need a BMCI template?

No. StatementPilot doesn't rely on bank-specific templates, so redesigned BMCI statements and older layouts both work. The reconciliation check confirms nothing was missed.
