Convert OCBC bank statements to Excel, CSV & QBO
Convert OCBC bank statements (PDF or scanned) to Excel, CSV, QBO or OFX, reconciled against the balance c/f. Free for 20 pages a month.
Quick answer
Download your OCBC bank statement as a PDF from OCBC Online Banking under eStatements, upload it to StatementPilot, and export Excel, CSV, QBO, OFX or QIF. We check that the "BALANCE B/F" plus every transaction equals the "BALANCE C/F" so you know nothing was missed.
What a OCBC bank statement looks like
OCBC statements list Transaction date, Value date, Description, Cheque, Withdrawal, Deposit and Balance.
Consolidated statements may combine several deposit accounts and currencies in one PDF.
How to convert a OCBC statement
- Sign in to OCBC Online Banking under eStatements and download the statement for the period you need as a PDF (not a screenshot).
- If the PDF is password-protected, open it and save an unprotected copy first.
- Upload one or several months to StatementPilot. Scanned or photographed statements are read with OCR.
- Check the reconciliation panel: the "BALANCE B/F" plus deposits minus withdrawals should equal the "BALANCE C/F".
- Export to Excel or CSV for analysis, or QBO/OFX/QIF to import into Xero, QuickBooks Online and Excel.
Dates, amounts and account numbers in Singapore
Amounts use 1,234.56 with Withdrawal and Deposit columns. We read the date order from the statement itself and default to DD/MM/YYYY for Singapore, so 03/04 is never silently swapped.
Accounts are identified by an account number; multi-currency accounts list each currency separately. Only the masked or last digits are carried into QBO/OFX files, as those importers expect.
Importing OCBC transactions into your accounting software
Accountants in Singapore most often import into Xero, QuickBooks Online and Excel. Choose QBO for QuickBooks, the Xero CSV for Xero, OFX for most other packages, or Excel/CSV for anything else.
When your bank feed only goes back a few months, converted OCBC statements fill the gap for older periods without manual typing.
Why statements are still needed
Banks typically offer eStatements for the last 12 to 84 months depending on the product.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a OCBC bank statement to Excel?
Yes. Upload the PDF and download an .xlsx file with date, description, amount and balance columns plus a summary sheet showing the balance b/f, balance c/f and reconciliation result.
How do I get my OCBC statement as a PDF?
Statements are available in OCBC Online Banking under eStatements. Choose the statement period and download or save it as a PDF; a printed copy can also be scanned or photographed and uploaded.
Can I import OCBC transactions into Xero?
Yes. Export the converted statement in the format Xero accepts (QBO, OFX or a formatted CSV) and import it as a bank statement file. Dates are written in the format your software expects.
Do I need a OCBC template?
No. StatementPilot doesn't rely on bank-specific templates, so redesigned OCBC statements and older layouts both work. The reconciliation check confirms nothing was missed.
