Quick answer

Download your Emirates NBD bank statement as a PDF from Emirates NBD online banking / ENBD X app, upload it to StatementPilot, and export Excel, CSV, QBO, OFX or QIF. We check that the "Opening Balance" plus every transaction equals the "Closing Balance" so you know nothing was missed.

What a Emirates NBD bank statement looks like

Emirates NBD statements list Date, Description, Debit, Credit and Balance in AED, with IBAN in the header.

UAE statements typically show IBAN, Debit, Credit and Balance columns and may include a VAT-on-fees line.

How to convert a Emirates NBD statement

  • Sign in to Emirates NBD online banking / ENBD X app and download the statement for the period you need as a PDF (not a screenshot).
  • If the PDF is password-protected, open it and save an unprotected copy first.
  • Upload one or several months to StatementPilot. Scanned or photographed statements are read with OCR.
  • Check the reconciliation panel: the "Opening Balance" plus deposits minus withdrawals should equal the "Closing Balance".
  • Export to Excel or CSV for analysis, or QBO/OFX/QIF to import into Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online and Xero.

Dates, amounts and account numbers in the UAE

Amounts use 1,234.56; some statements are bilingual English/Arabic. We read the date order from the statement itself and default to DD/MM/YYYY for United Arab Emirates, so 03/04 is never silently swapped.

Accounts are identified by IBAN (starting with AE). Only the masked or last digits are carried into QBO/OFX files, as those importers expect.

Importing Emirates NBD transactions into your accounting software

Accountants in the UAE most often import into Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero and Excel. Choose QBO for QuickBooks, the Xero CSV for Xero, OFX for most other packages, or Excel/CSV for anything else.

When your bank feed only goes back a few months, converted Emirates NBD statements fill the gap for older periods without manual typing.

Why statements are still needed

Statements are commonly requested for visa, tenancy and VAT purposes.
